The joys of Fetes

May 24, 2008 15:15

Today I bought 16 books for €26.50!

I also bought Protestant jam (with real Protestants) homemade fudge, little bun things and raffle tickets.

The books include 'How to be a Domestic Goddess' by Nigella Lawson for €3 and the much-loved-but-I-don't-own-it-Ruth-does 'The Top 100 Pasta Sauces' by Diane Seed for approximately 42 cent.

The children's bookstall was womanned by someone who seems very familiar to me but for the life of me I can't put a name to the face or imagine where I might have met her. She's pretty with dyed red hair and tattoos. And she was womanning a children's bookstall at a C of I parish fete in the darkest SoCoDu (or South County Dublin for the non Dan n Becs aware among you). I feel I must know her from gaming. Who can she be? Do I know her at all? The questions go on and on! Answers on a postcard.
