back from New York

so yesterday was probably one of the most annoying and frustrating days of my life. what are the odds of trying to fly home the same morning some fuckwits from London try to simultaneously blow up 9 US-bound airplanes? anyone? anyone?

first of all, Monica and I are already running late because lets face it, as much as i love the girl, she cant be anywhere on time, then it takes forever for us to get a cab because they arn't just driving around willy-nilly in Brooklyn, then theres traffic. fun.

so we get to the airport with like half hour until boarding only to realise the security checkpoint line is boardering on 2 hours to get through. but the airline points us too the "idiots who are running late and if not for us you'd miss your plane" line. only to be told to throw away all liquids and gels. normally, no problem but literally the night befroe i had just dropped over $60 at Sephora and one of those items happened to be a $24 dollar tube of lip gloss/stain that you guessed it, went straight into the fucking garbage can. i was pissed. beyond pissed. not to mention throwing away my Lip Venom (also expensive! but half-way used up) and my chapstick that i use almost daily...and as i have no job, i have no money, which means that i can't afford to re-buy these items. again, i say: pissed.

so we end up making the flight and suprise suprise one more little annoyance. someone is sitting in my seat and i have to politely still them to kindly remove their ass from my seat. now normally, this isnt much of an annoyance but it had happened before on the way to New York and as i've said, already not in a good mood (pissed, i say!)

then oh yes, there is a then, we find out that what we throught was just a flight to Salt Lake City, Utah is now making an extra stop in Cinncinnati, Ohio and due to the weather, the flight is delayed over an hour. and our layover in Utah was only about an hour...so once we get to Utah we literally have to run to the gate (which was not convienently close by).

needless to say, we arrived alive and safe if not greatly annoyed by the whole day only to find out that while we were running for our flight, our luggage was not. should arrive sometime today...im still waiting.

pictures should surface soon for anyone whose interested.
