So I am going to update, and
I apologize if this becomes either way too long or way too short. I am
running on like 4 hours of sleep from last night, and I am pooped from the past
3 weeks of classes. It's absolutely crazy to think that we are 3 entire
weeks into the Winter Semester! I am so busy, and I know that I keep on
saying that but seriously…
SCHOOL:
I have 18 Credits, and
man-what the heck was I thinking?! I
started class Monday not knowing anyone.
Got into the room and searched and searched for a familiar face…I found
only one-Tabitha Greenwood. She was in
my Literature class this fall with Basil Clark; but we never talked at
all. I was so paranoid that she probably
hated me b/c of that fact, but I sat at her table with two other girls (who she
already knew) that I was unfamiliar with; Patrice Giltrop and Stephanie
Normand. I ended up being seriously
entertained by the 3 of them, and indeed we are now friends! It also turned out that since I am currently
enrolled in the College of Education, most of our classes are together! We are all four doing the ZA (early
childhood) endorsement, and that means that we are guaranteed at least the
three courses required for that together.
We all quickly realized that we have three classes together this semester
(Patrice and I have four), and we are having so much fun!
Mondays:
TE 341 Methods of teaching
Social Studies (with Tab, Steph, and Patrice)
Tuesdays:
TE 480 Early Childhood
Education (again, with Tab, Steph, and Patrice)
ENGL 380 Teaching the Art of
Writing (with Patrice)
& MATH 125 Contemporary
Mathematics (a very meak nine fellow students…)
Wednesdays:
TE 301 Teaching Children’s
Literature (with Tab, Steph, and Patrice)
Thursdays:
TE 480 Early Childhood
Education
ENGL 380 Teaching the Art of
Writing
& MATH 125 Contemporary
Mathematics
This semester’s classes are
really hectic and seemingly simple-with a lot of “busy work” to occupy our
time. BUT, with the ladies-we keep it
entertaining. :D
WORK:
I have been working most
weekends, and usually my week looks as follows:
Monday 9-4 (class 4:30-7:30)
Tuesday off (due to class
all day)
Wednesday 9-4 (class
4:30-7:30)
Thursday off (due to class
all day)
Friday 8-5, 9-6, or 1-10
Saturday 8-5, 9-6, or 1-10
Sunday 10-7 or 11-7
I REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW I AM
SURVIVING!!!
SOCIAL LIFE:
Non-existant! I do not have an once of a second of a day
or anything else to dedicate to my own personal likings! I am surprised and excited that I actually
had time to update this right now!! I
should be doing hw!
So anyway, my life is very
eventful, even if the events are the same each week. Also, Sharon, and Jenn are pregnant-both about 10 weeks or so,
and Doug and I got our travel itinerary from Mary a few weeks back. We leave for Spring Break in FL/Bahamas
March 2nd from MBS about 7pm, and arrive back March 10. I seriously cannot wait for that! It means a lot of saving $$ for bills, but what
the heck. I don’t care-and we are going
to have so much fun! I have to get to
beddy-bye, but I hope the semester/year is treating you all very well and
please, if you are in the mall at all-------STOP BY and say Hello! I would love the surprise and joy of a
familiar face in the unruly crowd! :) Ta-ta!
