So I probably should've posted this like a week ago, but oh well. I guess this will be my obligatory third day of sophomore year post.
I'm taking Comedy & Theories of Comedy on TTh, which sounds good in theory, but is actually kinda boring and drawn out in practice. I will probably complain all semester about the class and the writing it requires, but on the bright side, everything we read should be funny. This is convenient, cause it's probably the only class I'll enjoy reading for.
I also have Orgo Lab and Bio Lab on T & Th (respectively), which hasn't started yet, but is sure to be an annoyance. On the bright side, I could potentially know people in my orgo lab, and I shouldn't have too much of a problem finding a bio group since the class is filled with freshmen still in their "let's be nice and make friends with everyone" stage.
My MWF classes are looking a lot more promising than my TTh ones. This is good because they require me to wake up by 9:00, so maybe they'll give me some motivation to actually get out of bed. Orgo seems incredibly intimidating, since we're still doing review and I'm already confused. But for some reason (masochism, perhaps?) I'm kind of excited about struggling with that class. It will probably screw up my GPA horribly, but at the same time I'm looking forward to being able to say that I actually worked for my grade. After Orgo I have Drugs & Behavior, which is a 300-level psych class that thus far has gone by really fast and seems really interesting. I almost wish we had a book, because that's one class for which I would probably enjoy the reading. Then at 11:45 I have Biology, which is boring so far because we just keep reviewing stuff from chemistry. However, I actually like Bio, and I enjoyed it in high school, so I'm guessing it will get better soon.
Also, I'm taking a MW Yoga class (yay, PE requirement!). I don't actually have anything for it (yoga clothes, mat, etc), nor am I looking forward to the research project, but other than that it should be enjoyable.
And that's pretty much it. I haven't seen nearly enough of a lot of people from last year, but that might have something to do with the fact that I was gone all of last weekend. Oh right, speaking of which, I visited Davidson and Duke this weekend, and it was lovely. Especially Adam's bed. But yea, I assume this weekend will be a bit more social and I'll soon slip back into last year's patterns of actually seeing people. And lacrosse starts Thursday, which I'm pretty excited for. Yay, college!
