I took a break from blogging...
Because it seemed safer than being on here and then finding that I had written some big stupid "I still love him" letter. I'm good now. Well, as good as I ever get, which means I still look down on intimate relationships of any sort as a silly, stupid waste of time...

I cannot begin to tell you how very much I hate it when people tell me that they don't choose sides, and that they can be friends with both people on different sides of an argument/war/divorce/whatever...
No. You Can't. You can be my friend, or you can be their friend, but you CANNOT BE BOTH.
You cannot be friends with me AND be friends with my brother Sean, for instance. Pick one. You see, if you say you are trying to be friends with us both, it means that you are not actually listening to what either one of us is saying. Which makes you not a friend, in my book. Yes, there are two sides (or more) to every story. But if I say that so-and-so is a liar and has told you nothing that is true, and yet you STILL want to listen to him/her ramble on about all the things they have never done with people they never knew, while at the same time bad-mouthing ME, well... Yeah. It may work for you, but it does not work for me. Pick a side or fuck off. I pick sides. Always have. There is right and there is wrong. There is yes and there is no. Of course there are some grey areas... But even then I take stock of what evidence I can find and make a judgement call.
Balls up and pick a side or get the hell out of my way.
