I had wanted this first entry back to be about something meaningful, I had wanted to write this one for Jess and so, right here, I will-
I just wanted to say that before all this craziness, on that ride home from Boston, you really helped me. When you remember that week, I know this isn't going to be something you think of, but it's something I will remember and I want you to. Sitting there, talking with me on that long ride from Jamaica Plain to that random truckstop in Pennsylvannia, just listening to me ramble and being so kind and putting so much thought into your advice, it helped me so much and it was so wonderful to have someone to talk to who understood . And that's how my drives with you have always felt, like you wanted to listen and you understod and you wanted to help- you help me remember the places in myself that are strong and smart. That gift, to be able to listen like it matters and show people the places in themselves where they shine, is something so completely yours and everyone around you feels it, whether it is as a friend or a director. And I hope you always know that and I hope you know how much it means for everyone. and to say thank you.
