as much as i hate the massive junior history movement, i love researching my topic and learning everything there is to know about the antiwar movement of the vietnam era. it is, in my opinion, the most fascinating era of american history and it lay the foundation for, essentially, everything i believe in and all of my principles. i'm going to focus on how opposition to the war became mainstream. i'm blown away and inspired by these amazing people and groups. it's amazing what incredible good people are capapble of. reading about this movement gives me so much hope for the future of this country, which i do truly believe will be different and positive if we can rise up against bush and the neocons and come together. because, as we chanted for hours on end in the anti bush protest at the RNC:
"the people, united, will never be defeated!!!"
