random points on why life ain't so bad

Oct 28, 2008 21:14

I've come to realize that all I ever do on this blog is whine and complain and rant.  Mostly because I write the best/have the most to say when I'm angry,  So, I thought I'd mix things up and write a list of things that make me happy/good things in my life.  In a very random order.

--Chivalry isn't dead!  A nice man opened the door for me at the bookstore tonight.

--I "fought" with a man over who should get to check out at the bookstore.  I said he should, he said I should.  I won.  There's some hope left for humantity after all.

--The fact that it's cold here (really, really cold here) and everyone in town is wearing big sweaters and coats, but still have flip flops on.

--It's cold, which means hot chocolate with whipped cream.

--The Great Pumpkin was on tonight and I actually was home to see it.

--I'm graduating in 7 weeks (god willing with my not so wonderful grades)!  And, I managed to finish college in 3 1/2 years.

--The AMAZING Scorpio family today.  Uncle Mac and Anna and Robin and Maxie (with Spinelli, of course).  Oh, such love.

--The absolute awesomeness that is Maxie Jones.  Especially her in wedding planner mode and telling Jason that Robin will only have
ONE wedding, unlike Carly, so he cant miss this one!

--The upcoming Scrubs wedding and the arrival of their baby.  I haven't been this excited about them in a long, long time.

--Ghetto Superstar came on tonight and I cried happy tears thinking when I sang it in the field down the street from my old house with my three best friends, weeks before I moved away.

--Jason Mraz's 'I'm Yours' and Taylor Swift's 'Love Story'

--I was only in class tonight for 30 minutes (well, it was for a test, but still) and I got to see dreamy Dr. R.  And he smiled at me.  So, I sketched I heart Dr. R on my desk.

--I was thinking about some of the amazing places I've been and how lucky I've been to do some of the things I've done.  Including, but not limited to:  Riding a camel in Egypt; "holding up" the Leaning Tower of Pisa; standing atop the Eiffel Tower; hearing daily prayers blasting from speakers on top of mosques in Turkey; riding in a gondola in the canals of Venice; standing inside St. Peter's Basilica; climbing to the top of Mt. Vesivius.  And many, many more.  I'm rather lucky that way.

--The election will be over in one week.

--My upcoming graduation party.  I'm excited that everyone I care about and who has seen me through these past few years will be there to celebrate with me.

--There will be booze at said party because I plan on having everyone I care about under the same roof.

happiness, life
