I've decided that I'm not going to freak out over the fact that I've got no clue what I'm going to do with the rest of my life... at least not during break. Cause, I've got much better ways to spend my time.
These past two days I've been rather productive too!
Yesterday I finished my Christmas shopping. I'm glad it's done and just out of the way. I can focus on other Christmas-y things. Like Christmas parties and decorating Christmas cookies... fun things like that.
I also attempted to sell back two of my text books (I'm keeping the rest, should I ever need to reference them) but they were only using one next semester, but I got 20 bucks for the other one. Not too shabby, considering past semesters when I'd get like $10 for 5 books.
Even though I was slightly nervous about going to see my professor because she intimidates me with how brilliant she is, I went to go see her to go over my paper to see where I lost my ONE point. I'm really, really glad that I went to see her. She's really good for my ego, apparently. She seemed really impressed with me and even though I never want to take her again since she's crazy hard and I'm not interested in her area of expertise, she told me I could always stop by her office to talk about anything. She also offered me the chance to do a directed study with her with my own research. Because she "always loves to mentor good writers." Um... one of the best compliments ever. It means so much more when it comes from someone that's brilliant and that you respect and not at all biased like my friends and family. Yeah, that made my day.. maybe even my week.
Today I finally cleaned and it was definitely needed. I had kept putting it off until finals were over and I no longer had any excuse to not do it. I even cleaned my car!
And tomorrow I have the day off! A weekend day off. That's exciting. I plan on wrapping Christmas presents, finishing my little Christmas-themed Scrubs one shot and going to my Christmas party for work. Should be fun.
