Today was a fairly nice day off. I was really tired at the end though and was a bit cranky with Joey. I had a podiatrist appointment this morning only to be told by the podiatrist that if he could give a medal for the worst heal spurs he has ever seen he'd give it to me. The average foot ligament is only supposed to stretch to 1.5 - mine has become so inflamed it is stretched to 10 in my left foot and 5.5 in my right foot. No wonder my feet have been in so much pain! They took x-rays on my feet, then did an ultra sound which unveiled the awesome spurs that I have...so the dr had them do therapy on my feet, measure me for specialized inserts, gave me a prescription for naperson and gave me night splints. I hate these night splints. They make my feet uncomfortable and fall asleep. But the are supposed to stretch out my feet and calves. I am supposed to either keep them on all night or for 2-3 hours every night. Ugh. But hopefully it will make the heal spurs better. I would like to not have surgery on my feet.

So after the podiatrist I dropped my prescription off and then went and picked up the boys. We went out to lunch at the local Chinese place which is reasonably priced. It was yummy and Joey really loved it. After lunch I went and got my new glasses. I really like them but the frames are different from anything I've ever had. The sides are thicker black so I see thick black lines at the corner of my eyes and it's strange. But I really like them a lot. So then we went home and Joey went down for a nap and so did I. Then we got up around 3 and went over to my friend's house. Then we all went to Tim Horton's and got the boys ice cream. I had suggested taking them to McDonald's so they could play in the play place and I still maintain that that would have been the best bet. Cause all there was for the boys to do at Tim Horton's - other than sit still and eat their ice cream - was to go into the women's bathroom and flush the toilet. It was very frustrating. Then my friend had to go to church and since Joey was tired and being cranky so I picked up my dad and we went to the store to pick up my prescription and some other groceries. He had to get some prescriptions for him and my mom so we hung out at the starbucks in the store while they were filling them. Then we went and got some pizza for dinner cause my mom hurt her shoulder so bad she couldn't cook and it was really too late for us to cook anything cause it was about Joey's bed time.

Joey was kind of being a pain at bed time and I was losing my temper with him. At first all he wanted to do was play with his trains - ok, fine. I read his books while he played. Then I put him in his crib to lay down while I read him the sleep book. First he didn't want his blanket. Then he didn't want his baby in bed with him. Then he didn't want Woody. Then he wanted the blanket back. So I just kinda read it quickly, gave him a hug and kiss and said night night. He freaked at this point. So Donny went up to say night night and tuck him in. Didn't do much good. So we had to let him cry. He only cried maybe 5 minutes...then stopped and 20 minutes later we heard him just talk to himself. He is so good at fighting sleep...he is totally his daddy's son.

Well I don't have much else to talk about. I just took off the night splints. My calves hurt really bad. It's probably from the stretching of them...they are in such bad shape due to my heel splints that they aren't used to all this stretching...and yet I have another hour of stretching I need to do...I will probably put them on when I go to bed and have Donny remind me to take them off when he comes to bed. We are watching Star Trek right now...I kinda wish he hadn't started a new episode cause it's keeping me up a lot longer...no wonder I'm so tired lol Oh well, I like this time with my husband.
