Weekend Update
This past weekend was really fun. Friday morning after work i picked up adam, adam and emily and we headed to NYC to see doug. We had a fun ride down, the time, at least to me, went by fairly fast. Then we got to dougs and started watching Dog Bites Man. I fell asleep ( i hadnt slept in over 24 hours) and they all went to the store to get stuff to eat. That night we went to Rockfeller center and i forgot where else. we had fun though.
Saturday we went to China Town. It was fun, next time i want to go back and spend some more time there. There is a lot of stuff and food. shopping and food is fun. Doug and i went back to Astoria because jeffrey, andriana and max were on there way and we were to meet them at his apartment. So we all met back at dougs house and proceeded to Times Square to see the Aquabats!
WE got to the show early enough to get up front. so we did. The first band started, Angro lites or something like that. I really didnt care for them. They were a raggae, punk, funk band. Which is great and all, but they only had one beat for all their songs and it just didnt go well with the crowed that was there, i felt kinda bad for them. Then Whole Wheat Bread played. THey were better than i thought they would be. It was just fun punk music. Everyone at the show was being stupid and moshing, which in turn pushed everyone forward, Andy, Emily and i were all up against the gate, the gate that was being crushed into our chest.. heh.
Then...
The Aquabats. It was awesome. They came out and started playing and everyone freaked out. The Bat (fat) Commander came over to emily a few times, that was cool. They took two little kids and put them on floaties and had them race while crowed surfing. It was so funny. The band just made everything fun. During 'Pool Party' some kid decided to crowed surf and kicked me right on the side of my head. It knocked me out completely. I was trying to hold on but couldnt, then i doug jeff and andy got me out. heh. thanks for being there guys:) *hug*. The show ended awesome, i dont feel like typing it all, but it was awesome.
Then we went back and all got some subway:)
Sunday we all got up and went into manhatten to this really yummy breakfast spot called the Barking Dog, doug and i had been there with my cousin and aunt before and wanted to go back. After we went back to dougs and packed up to head home. It was a really fun and excited weekend. If money werent an issue id say we should do that more often. I love all the peopel that went. those are real friends right there, the kind that will always be around no matter what.
