And now, some insight on the famous Count...
Count Vlad Tepes Dracula (Vlad the Impaler)- Count Dracula was the leader of Wallachia Transelvania from 1456-1462. Born in 1431-1476 when he was murdered. Vlad Tepes father was a memeber of the Order Of the Dragons, with society was associated with the Devil. The people started to call him 'Dracul' which in Roman translation means 'the devil'. 'Dracula' in translastion means 'Son of the devil'. When Vlad was a boy he was imprisoned by the ememy. During this time in his life he got a very pessimistic view on life and ook up the hobby of learning how to impale with stakes. His imprisoners informed him of his fathers death and his brothers torture, and how he was burried alive. They then decided to set Vlad free.
Vlad (or now he being named Dracula) became ruler of Wallachia. He then proceeded to capture, torture, and impale all those who betrayed his father and harmed his family. Then, as the Turks went to invade his city. Their Sultan was getting close into the heart of Wallachia. Count Dracula Went throughout the land, Poisoning the wells and killing his own people in order to slow down the Turkish Leader. When The Sultan got to the Capital, where the Count resided, he found his armies in a bloody massacure. All impaled, laying around the city. This scene was nicknamed 'The Forest of the Impaled'.
To this day many Romanians still belive that the Count was a hero. They also believe that twice a year the vampires come to their city and hang around the crossroads on April 23rd and November 29th.
