I finally feel like I'm getting back to normal, this cold really wiped me out. In fact, I kind of wish that Christmas was THIS week, instead of last, so that I could thoroughly enjoy it. I'm ready for it now! =)

I'm going to head out to the barn at lunch today to ride, the weather is supposed to take another dive after today. Boooo winter! Didn't get a chance to ride yesterday because I had to drive my hubby's Tahoe back over to his work and get my car from him over lunch -- my car wouldn't start yesterday morning, I left my phone charger plugged in, and it was really cold, so my battery drained =( T and I went on a field ride on Sunday, it was lovely. Mac was a perfect gentleman, and we mostly walked them through the deep snow drifts for stifle work (both of them have had stifle issues in the past). Lunged Lacey, who had an attitude by principle, but followed orders for the most part. It was pretty funny, really. I'm getting excited to ride her again when the weather cooperates, my tailbone is healing slowly, and I'm able to post the trot for longer and longer stretches. Cantering remains to be seen, my guess is that I'll be able to handle it for short bursts!

Ahhh Christmas! Pretty much everyone got everyone else smartwool socks. I was listening to the news, and the #1 "bad Christmas present" is apparently socks. Well, these people have obviously never had cold feet, or they weren't getting the RIGHT socks, because boy howdy, was I ever excited to get them! I'm sending my sister her Christmas presents today because I'm lame-o, and didn't get it done before the holidays. Despite the snow and my cold, it was a wonderful first 'married' Christmas, Kent is certainly the best gift I've been given in a realllly long time (think... 'birth'). =) He was worth the really long wait!

I'm playing life clean up a bit this week. Sorting out folders at work and at home, I rather like times where I can tidy things that are normally too big of a chore to tackle. Off to work for me!
