it's been helluva week for me. jet-lag that's what it is. i got so sleepy back at work on wed and thurs. can't imagine how it would be if i hadn't been out for training. the postcard i sent from zurich has arrived at home. can't help being reminded coz dragon boy put it up by the freezer :)
indeed zurich IS one beautiful city. i arrived on aug 29th morning to a small crowd waiting just beyond the baggage area of the arrivals. several of the people had flowers, esp the lone men. later while waiting for my pick-up, i realise it was a typical gesture to welcome someone with flowers, or very least just one stalk. most of the couples hugged and kissed, which was really a lovely scene (being part of their reunion somewhat) i guess that's how it is travelling alone - something i have to get used to quickly.
anyhow, i travelled by car about an hour to arrive at Feusisberg, where the Hotel is located in a magnificent position high above the Lake of Zurich. Our DC address is actually a small village area that it's hardly mentioned in travel books/magazines. of course not in the guidebook my dear elder bro borrowed me prior to my departure. so i din't know what to expect really. So upon check-in, i found to my pleasant surprise a large cosy room waiting for me, with a nice big window to enjoy the great view from the comfort of my bed or desk.
on friday, before leaving for london, a few of us took time off shopping to enjoy coffee and (very expensive) french fries by a river. the pictures of the city was much better than our first city tour on arrival because the weather was sunny. 5 of us also shared cheese fondue for dinner at a pretty restaurant by the sidewalk (not very yummy in my opinion coz i am not a big fan of cheese nor wine) back at the hotel, couple of us met up again at the hotel's newly opened restaurant bar for drinks - a nice ending to our last night together in zurich
