(We don't fight fair)

This week has been quite stressful and hectic, and the one thing that I've noticed is the fact that being at school means my life is chaotic, but no more than it was back at home. At home, the chaos was beyond my control, often family or health issues turning everything upside-down. I can remember being completely out of my mind, completely distracted by what was happening at home, and then driving to school trying to figure out how I was supposed to function for the next seven hours. Now things are a mess, but it's much more my own mess, and it's much easier to deal with.

Some hectic highlights from this week:

MONDAY:

10:21 AM I was asked by Rimma why I wasn't ready for my class that was going to begin in nine minutes. I was still doing my hair and all that, and for some reason had it in my mind that my class didn't start until later. Umm, nope.

10:24 AM Fumbling to grab my books for Brit Lit, and trying to find my coat. (My other coat was still soaked in beer from friday and I was too lazy to do laundry.)

10:35ish AM Get to class, have everyone staring at me as I walk in, my hair a mess, sliding in one of the rows, having everyone shift to let me by. Prof was taking attendance, and luckily hadn't reached my name yet. I was relieved, and while pondering my great luck, didn't hear when she called my name. After three times calling my name, I finally came to. ("Here")

11:00 PM Leave Laurel and Yuliya's room where I had been procrastinating doing my homework for the past hour and a half. Instead of reading, we were talking about how kitten rhymes with mitten, "Hhh-oh-kay" is now German for "okay," and "dildo" is the universal answer to all of life's questions.

11:43 PM (yes, i remember the exact time haha) Playing neopets, sitting on my bed, still not doing homework. Suddenly I realize that I had co-op class the next day, and had a resume due. Suddenly stress settled in as I realized I would have to do all the homework I had put off that night in addition to the resume. JOY. I continue playing neopets for a couple more minutes, then retire for the night.

TUESDAY:

7:00 AM My alarm goes off, one that I had set early so I'd be able to get some reading done in the morning before class. I read for an hour then fall back to sleep, resetting my alarm for 9:00.

9:00 AM I lay in bed trying to will myself to stand up.

9:25 AM I'm standing, but seriously debating whether I should even go to my 9:50 Sociology lecture class.

9:45 AM After much debate, I decide that I will bring my laptop to class, and will do my resume then. I arrive at Blackman Auditorium unshowered, my hair looking even worse than yesterday. I do my resume during class.

WEDNESDAY:

5:00 PM I get back from Spanish class, dreading the fact that I've left 150 pages in Sense & Sensibility to read for the next day. Continue reading for the next eight hours.

THURSDAY:

7:00 AM Get up to read more and I finish the book! Sense & Sensibility is amazing. Whenever I start an Austen novel I can't figure out why i like her so much, but by the end I'm blown away all over again. The woman's genius.

FRIDAY:

9:50 AM I stumble into sociology class, pained from the ridiculous cold, with Sprite and Cheez-its for breakfast, though food isn't allowed in the auditorium.

11:30 AM Go to lunch with some lovelies, and come back here! :)
