Hoofing it on Tremaine
So, due to being carless due to a mechanic's fuckup and poor, due to it being the day before payday I am stuck walking home.
Tremaine Ave in Palmerston North, New Zealand would be more aptly named Motoring Ave. It may not be the street with the most car yards in PN but it has everything else. Mechanics, panelbeaters, audio shops, mag shops, spray painters, testing stations and pretty much everything that has something to do with cars.
It is where you will see a Chrysler 300C something parked on the gravel next to a souped up, lowered, kitted and subbed Legasy. Oh look, there goes a Holden circa 1980 minus a bonnet (ew... I can see your bits) and then you almost get rundown by a Volvo missing a door. One of my favourite car yards has a Porsche 911, for only $49,999.
I almost get groined by a subaru door, then run down by an Evo IV (with tacky Mags). So far I have seen 12 versions of my beloved Honda Civic, all in better condition than mine. Mind you, they could be missing doors and bonnets and still be better, as they are actually going.
There's a cruddy fiat "bleh" with spinners on it's baby wheels.
Tremaine Ave is announced rather boldly by Holden Corner. More Holdens than you can throw a cow pat at.
Not far from Holden Corner on the vertical from Tremaine is a dealership with not one, but two Hummers. back on tremaine and there is a Porsche boxter and another 911.
And OMG. The Fiat Multipla. BLEH! They are spreading, like an STI. And By STI I mean the not so nice bugs on yer bits.
but gawd, it's not boring.
In other news...
Nothing much more than work really.
