I leave for NYC the day after tomorrow! Really, in 32 hours! I can't wait. I'm so super excited. I'm attached to the internet trying to figure out what we can do and how to get to these places and what not. For sure we are seeing Rent, going to a fondue restaurant that oyglavin talked about in one of her posts, seeing the Statue of Liberty, going to MoMA, standing in freezing weather at the Today Show so my sister can see if we will be on TV, and going to the Comedy Cellar. The Comedy Cellar is featuring Darrell Hammond from SNL and Colin Quinn from SNL the night we're going, so that'll be fun. I'm dragging my sister and Bruce to a vegetarian restaurant--I don't care what they say! It'll be only one, I swear. But Pensacola is sort of scarce on vegetarian restaurants (and the two it has, I haven't been to for some reason). I'm all packed already--I told you I'm excited. It is going to suck on my layover in Atlanta because I have only a 26 minute layover, and Atlanta's airport is so huge. I am really worried about missing my flight to NYC, the flight I'm supposed to meet Erin and Bruce on. I'm not checking any luggage in case the luggage guys can't get it to the plane on time, so I have so much stuff squeezed into one suitcase (decent sized) and one shoulder bag. Wish me luck! I may talk to the flight attendent to see if I can switch seats to be as close to the door as possible when they let us off, just so I can get a good start and not stand there for 10 minutes trying to get off the plane while a line forms because people are getting their luggage, since that always seems to happen. I would've had a better amount of time for a layover, but Delta called me and told me there was a schedule change, and I got bumped from having a 1 1/2 hour layover to a 26 minute one. Ugh.
So anyway, Chili's is going great because I've been making bank. I'm glad I started back, and CLewis came to visit me today because she's been MIA. I've missed her. I've been working so much that I've been almost neglecting Leeluu, and I feel really bad for that, even though when I am home, she does nothing but chew on this big ass bone I got her. It's hilarious!
I ran into someone I would have rather not run into the other night. I was walking to my car after work and my friend Eric from high school is standing out there near my car talking to a guy. Eric runs up to me and hugs me and introduces me to his friend, whom I recognized because it's a friend of Justin's. Needless to say, this guy and I were not too thrilled to see each other (basically because I pretty much told him what I think of him this summer). The look on his face was classic, sort of a sneer with an "oh shit" thought, joined by a nice "uggghhhh." I told Eric I knew him but Eric had no idea how awkward it really was for me and the guy (I'm not using his name, damnit).
Basically, that's it. Nothing new in my life, of course. Except Chili's, since I thought I'd be gone forever, but damnit, that place is a disease with no cure.
