digg is really, really interesting right now. basically, there is a code that breaks the encryption on hd-dvd discs, which was broken only yesterday (I think), and frankly I don't really know or care how to use it. but basically the RIAA is claming that the code is copyrighted and that it is illegal to post it, so when someone posted it to digg, digg took it down. but basically most of digg users feel that it is ridiculous to try and copyright a string of numbers and letters, so right now the digg frontpage is almost exclusively links to the code (to the dismay of the people running digg, I assume). its a pretty interesting example of how when you create a site based on social contributions, its basically impossible to censor something that is popular. anyway.
