[Arcana: Chariot]
Picture Julius Caesar riding his chariot triumphantly into Rome. He has defeated his enemies and conquered vast, new lands. This is the spirit of the Chariot. Card 7 represents the victories that are possible through willpower and self-mastery. A military image is appropriate for the Chariot because this card stands for the strengths associated with combat - discipline, grit, determination and assertiveness.
The Chariot represents the positive aspects of the ego. A healthy ego is one that is strong and self-assured. It knows what it wants and how to get it. We can get annoyed at someone whose ego is too healthy, but we often turn to that person to lead us through difficult moments. We know he or she won't be wishy-washy.
In readings, the Chariot often appears when hard control is or could be in evidence. At its best, hard control is not brutal, but firm and direct. It is backed up by a strong will and great confidence. The Chariot can mean self-control or control of the environment. This card also represents victory. There are many types of wins; the Chariot's is of the win-lose type. Your success comes from beating the competition to become number one. Such moments are glorious in the right circumstances.
Time Period: 2012
Name: Dominick Alexander
Gender: Male
Blood Type: AB
Birthday/Sign: 9/1, Virgo
Age: 18
Occupation/Grade: 12th Grade, volunteers as a tutor after school.
Room: 606
PB: Keigo Atobe (Prince of Tennis)
Appearance: Dominick is respectably tall (5'10") and, as a senior member of the high school baseball team, trim and athletic in build. He has short dark hair, blue eyes and a small birthmark under his right eye. Considerate of his own appearance in public, he's usually seen in a well-kept high school uniform or typical athletic gear. Outside school activities, Dominick often favors mature, fashionable clothing such as slacks, cargos and khaki's, button-down shirts, oxfords, boots or loafers.
Personality: Publicly, Dominick is calm, confident and affable. He keeps most of his stronger emotions (such as anger and despair) to himself and dislikes showing any weaknesses to peers. Even in tough situations he'll work to maintain a calm demeanor, an effort to give friends or team mates encouragement and strength. Dominick wants to lead and protect, and will often stand up for others if he decides they've been unfairly picked on. However, Dominick has a strong ethical center, and won't abide those who seem disingenuous, vicious or weak-willed. He doesn't have many qualms about standing up for what he believes in, even if this puts him in harm's way. Although he's often quick to get along with others, he has a strong independent streak and consciously keeps even close friends at arms length; it may be that he secretly fears to disappoint them all. People who prove to have a strong determination to succeed will often win his respect. Dominick fears weakness, personal failures and helplessness.
History: Dominick was raised by two well-to-do, respectable parents native to Abaton city. His parents were very loving and had high expectations of him from a very early age, wanting Dom to strongly uphold his family name and personal pride. Building his life around honesty, integrity and determination, he worked hard at gaining their approval. Even as their expectations for their son were high, Dominick was eager to work hard and enjoyed the affections of both friends and family.
At the age of thirteen, however, his mother suffered a sever bout with pneumonia, an illness she eventually succumbed to. His family life quickly shattered and to the present day has never quite recovered from her loss. Dominick and his father both retracted emotionally, and as his father's job demanded frequent travel across seas, he was soon left to his own devices. Hoping to fulfill his parents' (and especially his late mother's) expectations, Dominick swore an oath to himself and began pushing himself even harder.
He joined the baseball team the following year, took on extra classes and threw himself headlong at his goal. At Adessi Hall, his hard work and fierce dedication to both his studies and his classmates became well-known. As a senior, Dominick enjoys a strong reputation, though his family life is now nearly non-existent. Even his close friends rarely see him outside of school and sports events.
Weapon: "Matchstick", Dom's trusty baseball bat.
Stats: Vitality, Strength, Agility, Magic, Luck
Persona: Thor
Strength: Physical Damage
Weakness: Status Effects
Primary Skillset: Slash Physical
Secondary Skillset: Electricity
Other: His favorite possession is the hand-me-down Ford Mustang his father passed to him when he turned sixteen; Dominick's most consistent pastime is cruising around Abaton trying to impress pretty girls and underclassmen. He enjoys sports, reading and mechanics.
