A small but happy group joined me for the Oscar Party last Sunday night. Only 5 of us, we had a good time. Hugo threw all of us off winning a bunch of what us common folk call the lesser awards. Sound editing, cinematography, and others like that. I finally got to watch that movie. I'd say you really have to dedicate yourself to stay put. The end is worth the movie, but not everyone will stick it out. Julie won our award with 7 or was it 9? correct guesses of who would win Oscar.

The champagne punch was wonderful, as was all the culinary delights. Billy Crystal and quite the Oscar change up saved what could have been a boring year. Gone were the boring dance scenes, only two songs were sung, and Billy's running joke about the Kodak Theater made it entertaining. They shuffled the deck on what category came where, so you stayed tuned.
And, because it was such a small group, SaraJane was able to stay inside with us when she wanted. She was a bit mopey on Monday because the house was so quiet.
