As big a fan of Lance as I am, I can't help but think that this is a really bad idea. Just think Michael Jordan...
He says it's "To raise global awareness of the cancer burden". Not to feed his ego? Hmmmm...I kind of think that pro cycling was doing just fine without him. Almost better without him, in fact. Now that he's a little older, maybe there will be some good competition between him and some of the younger riders, not just Lance blowing everyone away. Well, I will still look forward to watching the TDF next year, and this will certainly be fodder for conversation at this weekend's ALA ride.
