Well, I've been working on paying off debt and repairing my credit for... about a year now? Somewhere around that.

Despite the fact that I haven't exactly been earning as much money as I'd like to be, I have succeeded quite a bit. In the past several months, I have:

• Gotten a Visa card that is an actual credit card (with good terms - no interest, no fees) and have paid it off in full every month
  
• Paid off 6 creditors in full
  
• Gotten a Target card (and was told that my credit was good enough to get the Target Visa instead, but I didn't want the higher limit)
  
• Gotten a VERY significant credit line increase on my Best Buy card, which is one of the accounts that I had had some very bad problems with in the past (payments a year late, anyone?)
  
• Built up some savings. I intend to spend quite a bit of this as I just finished updating my list of creditors still outstanding, but I think I will not pay off everything I possibly could right now..... I will pay the rest off as I get money in, but I like having a bit of a cushion in case anything goes wrong
  

I am far from what I would consider financially healthy, and my credit score is still what some would consider laughably low... but it's more than 100 points higher than it was at one point, so I'll not complain. I'll just keep working on it.
