Alright, so we are officially set up for IVF. The final step was the heart-stopping, holy-shit-I'm-paying-this-much-money moment Sunday afternoon. Alberta is amazing for a lot of things, but not for infertility. Well, let's rephrase that... The Calgary infertility clinic is one of the best in the country for success rates, but Alberta does not cover the cost of infertility treatments, even though a lot of provinces and other countries do. So amazing program, but stupidly expensive. Thankfully Jordan and I are in a position where it's not the end of the world, but we know of others that either cant go through the process because of the expense or have gone through with it and ended up with crazy bad credit card debt. Yikes.
I'm pumped up though. I'm going through my phase of get all the bad stuff into my body before I'm (hopefully) pregnant. So bring on the wine, beer, sushi, and stupidly large mugs of coffee. On the flip side, Jordan has entered into physio boot camp mode. It's a little cute. I have mandatory exercise in the evenings, or when I can weasel my way out of it if I am too tired, it's straight to the flutter. Fair enough though. But he's being a tough cookie.
On another note, we have decided that we are pretty rad corn farmers. People told us that corn could not be grown in Calgary, well my fine hand model husband will show you otherwise:
Best corn of the summer. Seriously. We rock.
