Living in New York...
Yesterday, I noticed cones in front of my house. Today, I see what looks like a truck for people to work out of. I think to myself "hooray, they have finally sold the abandoned house next door, and the annoying squatters will be gone." No, no, I wasn't that lucky. They are filming an episode of Law & Order: SVU right in front of my house. The actor, Dann Florek, (http://www.nbc.com/Law_&_Order:_Special_Victims_Unit/bios/dann.shtml) who plays Captain Donald Cragen on the series informed me of this when I asked just what on Earth was going on. As soon as I saw his face, I knew he was from one of those cop dramas, but I didn't know his name or anything until I googled it just now. So, I guess that's an interesting NY happening but to be honest, I would rather have the squatters gone.
