Annapolis and Chihuahuas

Oh goodness, this week.

I was on bar on Thursday and Friday for most of the day. It's so much fun, except when customers get picky. For example, this guy wanted 1/2 pump of vanilla in his latte. I thought it said 1 1/2, so when I called out his drink, I said "Grande 1 1/2 pump vanilla latte," and he goes "I wanted only 1/2 a pump." So, I had to re-make his entire drink....b/c of an extra pump of vanilla syrup, which I can't imagine makes that BIG of a difference. Also, there was this lady who told me off b/c I put foam on the top of her white mocha ( I think I had just made a new batch of steamed milk, so it was extra foamy to begin with ). She continued to complain about how there was an inch of foam, and how that isn't how the drink is supposed to be made. This was also when we were crazy busy. Whatever lady, if $3.00 = an exra drink that has an extra inch of milk, then I'm sorry.

But really, the bar is fun. Except, this week I think I might be on register or something else b/c I've caught the bug that has seeped into 1/4 the people at work and Laura, my boss. I bought these "wellness formula" immune boosters that are like an inch long and extremely disgusting...and expensive. Hopefully they help.

The wedding this weekend was fun. The ceremony was at Wayfarer's Chapel, which if you've seen the OC, it is the chapel were Caleb and Julie get married, and where Caleb's funeral is held. It's a really beautiful place, but there was this British coordinator who was a little power-hungry about her job. See, the chapel holds probably like 5-8 weddings a day, and each wedding is only allotted 45 mins before the ceremony, and like 15-20 mins after. When I get married someday, I don't want some lady pushing me around to hurry up. I was a little annoyed. I seriously thought Mitch was going to punch her...lol

The reception was at this really retro hotel. It was pretty sweet. There was a mariachi band.....and chihuahuas. I think the owners are obsessed with their pet b/c there were these humongous photographs on the walls of this dog, and in the pool court. It was pretty hilarious if you ask me. The bride and groom both had graduated from the Naval Acadamy, so there were a bunch of guys dancing in their navy uniforms.

And today, I didn't do much. I've been stuck inside watching the OC all day. I finished season 3, and made it through a whole disc of season 4, of which there are only four total.

Anywho, I have to work like 35 hrs at Starbucks this week, and Laura is gone, so I have a lot of work to do for her.......so it's going to be a long week with my sickness.

I GET TO SEE YOU IN 2 WEEKS AND I'M SO EXCITED!
