keeping up to date a little bit!
Well this is the first post to LJ on my new MacBook.
Yes I have crossed back into the world of Mac? Crossed *back* you say? Yes. My first computers at home at the beginning of my Uni years were Macs and so it comes full circle.
As it is a laptop it is going to take a little getting used to and I am going to have to keep my nails neatly trimmed. Also, like WIndows, you don't get a decent word processing program with the basic install so I am going to have to sort that out too. My main reason for getting a laptop was to type away at Bean Scene instead of doing the paper and pen thing. I currently have about 200 pages that need putting into a computer and I am not really looking forward to that...
So Ernest (that is his name) has already had one outing to Bean Scene and everything has in fact gone quite well so far. Three outstanding live gig blogs have been posted so I am catching up there. I have loaded on some CDs and if I plug in the interwebs at home it all works.
I do loathe touch pads. I have a whole new set of hotkeys and shortcuts that I need to learn too... frustration!
So with any luck things will continue to go smoothly with Ernest and myself.
