Valentine's Musings...

I'm old. I'm very odd. Most of the people 'may age' rather sensibly avoid me. So... most of my friends are younger :)
Being 'older' is about as relevant to me as being 'humanoid', not very.
Everyone keeps telling me, "you can't help who you fall in love with," and I guess to a very great degree that's true. But it'd be foolish to deny that life experience makes up a rgeat part of a personality, and that personality is what we really fall in love with (rather than in 'lust' with).
I think age is largely irrelevant to friendship. And if you're meeting people with similar interests / passions / goals, then it's odds on you'll make freinds.
As for the old 'companionship' i.e. 'partner', thing, well, as we both know, that's just something that tends to come along, and you can look or not look, but it will present itself as an opportunity, and if you're open to it, it can be taken (or ignored) as you see fit at the time :)
Valentines day is rubbish. Bit like most other manufactured 'celebrations'. But yeah, it can be hard to ignore, and in that sense it does trigger some thinking :)
