Summary update thing...
So what of the week this week...
After the weekend I was left in a curious mood. On Monday while heading off to work, I was listening to the radio in the car (RAWK) when this song came on and for the first time I listened to the lyrics and thought... oh man that is about as relevant to my headspace right now as any song is likely to be. What song? Well I am kinda hesitant to say as I have in the past been known to mock merciliessly friends how have professed to like the band. In fact I have in past been quite adamant that I absolutely, positively, definitely have no affection for the band... So if I confess to the fact that I went home, downloaded their "best of" and have put the song on repeat a couple of times then my credibility might be a tad undermined. Or should that be even more undermined? Pah - who am I kidding? What credibility?! :-)
Yesterday was a busy day. Had a bit of a sleep in and then headed out with
daver2323 to have a look at New Lanark. It is a World Heritage site and I knew nothing about it so I though 'Why not give it a look?'. It is a very pretty place and I think I will go back again. There is a but of a nature walk you can do along the river which looks nifty, even though I am not a hippy.
Next stop was the cinema for the horror/gore double of Hostel 2 and Captivity. Both films were ok but I do not think either will make it to my DVD collection. Both had some really good parts and highlights but not enough to make it brilliant. Captivity could have been done so much better. *shrug*
So off to the alternative Bean Scene to pull the movies apart and then home for pizza and Hellraiser 2. All in all a very full day!
