Finally...
Funny old week...
Of course the big news (which most of you will by now know) is that Christian broke it off with me last Tuesday when I was down in Nottingham. It has been over 7 years and while we had drifted almost completely apart over the last 18 months ago if I said it did not hurt I would be lying. It is all very amicable and we do still care for each other but it was time to face facts - we want different things from life over here and neither one of us can really be what the other wants. I was really very upset on the Tues and Wed but mostly I think for the loss of what could have been when the reality of it is... it probably *never* could have been. We can both go forwards now.
The rest of the week was filled with good friends being there for me, talking through things with me and making me happy. I even went to the movies twice with Christian *after* the breakup! It was, in an almost surreal way, simultaneously one of the worst and best weeks I have had in a years...
So big change for 2007 with opportunities all over and doors opening where some have now closed.
