I've moved over to tumblr for a few years and occasionally look at my LJ friendslist but it's still depressing to see communities and journals deleted and/or transferred over. Livejournal was my main fandom experience for so long and at least I visit a few times a week instead of giving it up completely like yahoo groups. I think rileyc's "eh, why not?" is the best reason to keep my livejournal besides selenak's entries. Ah well.
