(no subject)
So I've been asked to take on another roommate. There are a lot of cons to this situation (not exactly enough room for three people, sun room would be 'made' into a bedroom, would be living with one more girl and girls are crazy, etc etc), more so than pros (rent would be $125.00 cheaper for me), in fact, but the lack of funds in my bank account right now are telling me that I might actually have to accept the fact that I need the money I would save by taking this girl in. I really do not want another person living with me. With the roommate I have now, things are just as they should be. Our work schedules are just different enough that when she needs personal space, she gets it, and me likewise. We clean when we need to, we get groceries when we need to, we take care of shit that needs to be taken care of. She has a boyfriend, but they hardly ever hang out at our place and I don't have to deal with annoying boyfriend drama. And she makes me lunches sometimes. I'm really afraid all of this will change if we add another person in the mix. Another person with a 20 year old boyfriend who dropped out of school and always seems to have loads of drama. I mean, am I wrong for assuming there is nothing good that could come from this? The sad thing is, even though I have almost nothing but doubt about this situation, I am seriously considering it to save a hundee or so. *sigh*
In other news, I applied for a full-time library assistant job at Metro, and I'm waiting to hear back. If this doesn't work out, I'm starting to look for a second job as of January 1st. Maybe before. Coffee shop, here I come!
Also, going to the Faint on Friday (again) with my sister. I'm not really exited about this show. I don't know why. She drags me to their shows every time they come to town and yes, they're fun shows and all that, but I can't seem to get myself in the mood for this one. December is putting me in a crap mood. Saw It's True last weekend and Mac Lethal the week before. Both good ones. Good hip-hop rarely comes around to these parts and I'm glad I got to see Mac while was here. Yeah...that's all I've got.
Reasons to be excited about 2009:
PTO will be fully re-charged
I can forget everything that happened in 2008
Seems like things have been pretty quiet around here...I'll assume it's a good thing and everyone is too busy to bitch about stuff on LJ. Here's to keeping busy and productive and here's hoping everyone has a good holiday. Stay safe and warm. And come visit me. I give good hugs. :)
