So I just got back from being in Ohio for the last five days. I was a leader for the middle school youth group's trip to Cincinnati. Honestly, it was a really cool experience. I met so many new kids that I did not know before and strengthened relationships with those I did. We went to King's Island Amusement Park and I am proud to say that I rode the most thrilling rollercoaster in the park, along with any others that the girls asked me to go on. I really connected with a few of the kids and I am so glad that I have some new friends. One of the biggest things that made this trip was so great was - no offense to my sister - the fact that Lauren did not go. Because of this, I was treated as an individual. People called me by my name, no one asked which twin I was, I was able to break out of my comfort zone, and I went to a place where some people didn't even know I was a twin. That feeling was addicting. Isn't it interesting how sometimes just the littlest things, like someone actually using your name, can make somebody's week?
I must also talk about where we stayed real quick. We stayed in dorms on the Miami University of Ohio campus and I loved it. From what I saw, the campus was gorgeous, the dorms were nice, the food was good, and I could possibly see myself going there for college.
Also, I saw Pirates of the Carribean II last weekend and it was pretty good. Parts of it were kinda cheesy, but I was too busy watching Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom to notice ;)
And lastly - though this is extremely embarrassing to admit - I am taking my driver's test tomorrow. FINALLY! I am scared.
I miss my dog. A lot.
