And we have a scarred female gypsy archer! Who is evil, but I can deal with that. Also, I think her arrows explode or some such.
And Cain trying to teach Mary Weather to play the piano! Except I think she’s the only person in the world with a strongher will than Cain. And Mary Weather in a nurse’s outfit. Wait, I’m having flashback to the Kurai cosplay fetish in some parts of Angel Sanctuary.
I think I’m getting used to Oscar always hitting on Mary Weather. It helps that it’s impossible to view him as skeevy. He’s too dorky.
I liked the coffin maker’s storyline and am sad that he is apparently dead now. At least glasses-girl lived. Though I remain slightly confused as to her goal. Was it to have everyone who betrayed her father buried with him?
I also liked the bit with Riff’s ex-fiancee, if only because it was this volume’s only source of “I exist…for Lord Cain,” and “Only you…can touch these scars.” The volume was rather lacking on that front. And cursed bloodline talk.
OH! The explanation of the “Godchild” title was supposedly in this volume, but I think I missed it…
Hmm...Vol 4 is shrinkwrapped. Any particular reason that doesn't involve spoiling me?
