Dear Rightstuf:

Do not tell me that the new Blade of the Immortal is reserved for my order!  Send it!  Send it!  Don't you realize that 13 months ago, I went from lovely monthly fixes to being cut off cold turkey and forced to wait for this volume after Dark Horse cancelled the monthly comics and switched to trades only?

Everyone else got their fix ( Read more... )

Nnnnnnooooooo! This is one book that I literally have an allergy to reading scans of. I thought the scans stopped somewhere in the teens, though...

I don't think you need to wait for the licensed edition -- there's almost no text in the BotI artbook, just a short afterword. And it's a beautiful book, definitely worth getting. :)

But I like supporting licensed things! It encourages more good things to be licensed!

I like supporting licensed things too! But I am also impatient, so I end up buying: 1, a copy of Afternoon magazine when available, 2, the tankoubon when it appears in the local Japanese bookstore, and 3, the translated volume when IT appears a couple of years after that! I also download scans of all of the above. :D

Luckily I only follow one manga with THAT degree of fanaticism, or it would get expensive mighty fast...

I'm sometimes happy there are no stores here that carry anything like that....

280 pages. I guess they are making up for the lack of monthlies by having thicker books with a shorter wait, but...
