apartment quasi-woes (aka: whining)

So, I told you about how they were reshingling the roof not long ago, right?  Well, they finished that Friday, and moved on to the next building over.  So those people parked in front of our building.  Which is fine, we were parked in front of theirs.

Except that this one person was double parked in front of our stairs (note for those who do not know:  I live on the second-and top-floor) until late Wednesday.  They finished work on that building sometime after I left for work on Monday.  When I got home from errands on Wednesday, I found out that it was still there because of something wrong with the engine (the owner was outside working on it) which makes the length ok, but does not negate the fact that it was double parked in front of my stairway.

And the dumpster for the old shingles  that's taking up 3 parking spaces in front of my building that's been there since the day they started is still there.

And I just signed a new lease that's still all bills paid, but my downstairs neighbors got their lease renewal notice on Friday, and it said that they were going to have to start paying for part of their utilities separately, which is weird.  Because when I asked about it when I signed my new lease (additional note for new people:  when I got the notice, there was an error and it said the new rate was a lot less than my current rate) I was told that I couldn't give up the all bills paid in this building if I wanted to.  And I'm thinking their notice was another error (the last manager left all the paperwork in shambles) but if not, or if they try to change my lease now, I'll probably have to move, because part of the reason I stay here is because the only apt bills I have to pay every month are rent and phone/internet.

But included in that are the swimming pool that that out of order all summer, and the tennis/basketball court where the chainlink fence has a foot-high hole in it and the poles for the tennis net are caving in and one of the bars on the fence is knocked loose and only held up by the bolts that attach it to the chainlinks.  I don't use either of those, but access to them is included in rent, so I get annoyed that I couldn't if I wanted to.

And for whatever reason, the kids who live in the complex are drawn to the dumpster (probably because it's better than the court at this point) and today and yesterday both, what woke me up was little boys chattering as they were peeking into the dumpster parked under my bedroom window, and looking at the things that had fallen out of it.

And this isn't including the refrigerator breaking down a few weeks back, because it was fixed the same day.

Mostly, I think it's just a little too much that what woke me up the last two days was kids playing around the dumpster that's parked under my bedroom window.
