Sarah Connor Chronicles: Season 1, ep 9

"Remind me again why the girls are in there, and the boys are out here?"
"Because one of the boys is wanted for murder, and one of the girls is harder than nuclear nails."
"And the other's a cyborg."

I'm glad that Derek figured out on his own who John's father was.  Mostly because, uhm, I think you'd have to be a touch dense not to.  Especially with John all but trailing him around with puppy eyes.

But...but...should Derek be that close to past!Derek?  I mean, I have no problems with "Derek still remembers Andy even though he has now killed Andy 20 years before Andy asks him to kill young!Andy, but I have difficulties with Derek being close enough to his young self to pack them up and give them pre-emptive combat training!

I love how, every time Derek has one of his little super-paranoid fits, Sarah is kind of all "yes, well, glad I've gotten better at that.  Come be my lackey!"  (Which he completely is.  I think it's a case of common sense for him.  That, and he's used to followingthe orders of anyone named Connor.)

I admit though, that my greatest fear for this show ATM is that it'll go the Sarah/Derek route.  I mean, if it did that, I'm sure it'd do a good job, but we don't need a second go at Sarah/Kyle!  Sarah has had her epic angsty doomed love!  She doesn't need that a second time.  And since Charlie is married and thus off limits (And dude!  Sarah is totally the female version of the  angsty loner who attracts all the nice girls like flies and pushes them away!) if they absolutely must do Sarah/Somebody, I vote Ellison.  Be something a bit new.

Speaking of Ellison:  SHOW!  DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!  I did love the Johnny Cash music as all the FBI agents fell into the pool, but I wish there had been a few shots of Cromartie fighting them.  As happy as I am that Ellison wasn't killed, though, i have to wonder why he wasn't.  I'm guessing because Cromartie knows that Ellison is one of his best chances of finding Sarah?

I was very, very happy to see the Latina Lookout Girl from the gang again.  I like her!  But can she have lines or a name already?  Does anyone get the feeling that Cameron kind of likes her?  Maybe it's because she never talks.

I thought it was pretty obvious who Sarkassian really was almost from the start.  The little girl pretty much sealed the deal.  It was very "boss's daughter waiting."  I guess it would make sense for Sarkassian to let an employee's daughter play in his office, but it felt like a clue.

And now to decide whether or not to try to follow S2 as it airs.
