Hanashima is like the spawn of Izumi and Yoruichi on a caffeine high. No wonder Gen doesn’t like women. Except that it seemed pretty clearly to be “is scared of” more than “dislikes,” even before this volume. I think Hanashima was the universe’s gift to him to make up for his family. She’s like the awesome but crazy aunt you can’t escape from, and who won’t let you be emo.
I have much love for Gen snapping all the branches to make the path easier for Tokine (she’s wearing her school uniform and they’re in a forest) while Yoshimori doesn’t even notice it may be a problem, but I’m not sure why.
I wonder if Aihi’s former master is the guy Yoshimori’s grandfather keeps going to. I’m not sure, though, that I completely understand all the machinations and plans with the Kokuboro group, though I do like how they tend to act like businessmen.
Gen’s egg made me giggle, as I just read the first volume of YuYu Hakusho a week or two ago.
I’m always happy to see Tokine being the smart, mature one and pretty much the default leader, but I’m annoyed she didn’t get to do much here, besides look happy that Gen and Yoshimori were getting along better.
