May I just say how much I love that Derek seems to pretty much hate future!John? And how he's all "Dude! Why is John Connor giving you pictures of his mother and taking you everywhere with him and kind of making you his lapdog?" Really, it makes me more inclined to like him. Picture me rubbing my hands with glee in anticipation of a full "Oh yeah, I deliberately groomed your brother to fall in love with my mother so he could go back in time and father me and then die a few hours later. But it was for a good cause!"
I like how all the flashbacks neatly tie in to the flashbacks from Terminator, but from a "I kinda hate this guy, but he's the boss!" perspective, instead of a hero worshipping one.
And the torture chamber has ballet music? *arbitrarily decides that Cameron is the one who tortured Derek and friends before John reprogrammed her* (Ok, fine, not so arbitrary as current clues point to personal bad blood.)
And it looks like John did send Cameron back. Unless she was programmed to let him think he reprogrammed her. Or the reprogramming "went bad" but she developed independent thought somehow. I just love how they give the Terminator all the dead Terminators and expect her to take care of things and don't give it a second thought. Because, you know, there could never be anything going on there. She kept a part! She kept a part!
I think the "scary robot" exchange between Cameron and Charlie has to be the most entertaining conversation so far this season. Unless they do something else with it later, I like how they handled the resolution with Charlie here. I wish Sarah hadn't tried to kiss him, but I'm glad he turned it into a kiss on the forehead.
I like that Derek really did kill Andy, especially after knowing Andy in the future (Did Andy ask him to do it? I think that he did.) and I hope sarah rips into him for it. I'm still kind of neutral about Derek as a character in general, though.
There was only one thing wrong with this episode, and that is that there was no Ellison.
