I no longer understand what is going on. Possibly, they are starting to explain things. I do not know. I did catch the explanation of the first Meros warrior and the origin of the Monster King, as well as the reveal about Koko's identity, but then I watched ep 21 and all semblance of thought and abilty to process was chased from my brain. And I know
telophaseis going to comment and say that I haven't reached the worst part yet.
I am not even going to try to explain, I will just post screencaps. They say it better than I ever could. Also, no one is allowed to hold this anime against me in any context!

I do not know what these are meant to symbolize, and am most likely happier that way:
