...I want to believe you that this really is something natural.  And that you aren't trying to make a statement.  Honestly, however, all I can do reading the pages and the interview is think that you think it's simply been too long since you were called progressive or revolutionary or a friend of the feminist movement.  I really should have more of ( Read more... )

Well, to clarify, my reaction isn't "if she were to sleep with a woman now, it would be Faith" but "if she were going to sleep with a woman, it would have been with Faith in S3." Just to clarify.

But yes, it IS getting tiring that most of her lovers are far, far more into her than she is into them. It's like she requires near obsessive love and devotion before she'll get involved. The only exception(I write Parker off as a mistake) is Riley, and I think the only reason she let herself get involved with him was because she knew she'd still be the dominant personality for other reasons, and because she knew she'd be able to cut herself off.

I'm not sure on the superior/subordinate thing...Satsu seems to have been the pursuer(but, haven't had a chance to really read S8 closely yet), but I suspect the "lets have sex" was more Buffy than Satsu. When I'm fine with the superior/subordinate thing, it's because it's clear the pursuer/one calling the interpersonal shots/one to make the first move(if one is made) is the subordinate, which addresses the hinky parts(they also tend to be equals in all but technicality, or the commander/subordinate aspect to be more formality than practice, or by choice.)
