Castle Waiting #7-8: The gang explores the secret passage in the castle, with Jain being consistently more and more disappointed that the passage isn't dark and scary and cobwebby...it has windows, a cozy nook and even a privy, ruin all her gothic dreams.  Meanwhile, Chase tries as hard as he can to get out of babysitting, but is effortlessly thwarted by Henry. Delightful as always.

Loners #4-5:  I, honestly, don't know why I've bothered with this series.  Actually, i do: Mickey and Penny, with a lesser emphasis on Darkhawk.  Except Mickey is basically whiny and emo and not remotely the cool character she was in Nicieza and Skolnick's hands, and Penny...well...she makes noises and apparently can touch anything she wants now.  Kinda ruins the point of the character.  Nothing here really interests me at this point(I did start out interested) but there's also only one issue left.  Also, seriously, what's with suddenly making Julie Power gay?  I know it's the "in" thing these days, and honestly don't care one way or the other as a general principle(I don't exactlyread books because of the characters' sexual orientation) but let's keep it to introducing new characters, not just changing a character's sexual orientation once they've been around a couple decades.

Usagi Yojimbo #105-106: This is, i think, all leading to a big battle with Inazuma, who seems to be starting to fight off the evil spirit inside her.  Meanwhile, it looks like a second spirit similar to the one that possesses her(and used to possess Jin) has escaped and also wants revenge on Usagi and Gen...I'm not sure...I wonder if it's a duplicate or something the original made, since it's having trouble with Inazuma?  Meanwhile, Gen and Stray Dog(I think that's his name) keep running into and narrowly missing other bounty hunters looking for Inazuma.  Usagi himself doesn't get to do a whole lot here, though he does run into Orphan Maker, an evil samurai he blinded a while back who's turned good, and he also barely misses Gen and Stray Dog(so many narrow misses...)

New Warriors #4-5:  In a lot of ways, this is just as flawed as Loners is, but I find I don't mind nearly as much here.  I still care little about any of the characters beyond Wondra/Jubilee, Decibel/Jono and Night Thrasher(even Sofia, who I've always like before, doesn't interest me here) and aside from the "stick it to them" attitude to the whole initiative stuff, the only really interesting thing going on is the Night Thrasher storyline(and Night Thrasher is acting rather like a PMSing but trying to hide it Thrash, if that makes sense) but I still like the book.  I wish it had better art and dialogue, but it's one of the only two books(the other was Nova when Richie returned to earth for a bit) to make me interested in the Civil War/Initiative garbage.  There are other books I like-namely, Captain America, where it plays in heavily into what's going on, but where I like the book more in spite of the connection than because of it.
