My Girl: through ep 4

So, unlike Goong, I completely get why everyone is so nuts about My Girl.  I'm not sure I'll be as nuts about it as everyone else seems to be, but I like it a lot.  It hasn't taken itself seriously for 2 consecutive seconds yet, which attributes a lot to that and is just pure fun and, with one exception the entire cast-side characters included-are ( Read more... )

Yay, you're enjoying it! :) It is very light, at least on the first half and for the most part. It's delightful.

I luv Jung-woo but again, do not fangirl him. There's was a poll on AsianFanatics Forums where people seemed to think Yu-rin should've gone with Jung-woo.. While I love the character, and think he and Yu-rin would not be the worst least compatible couple ever, I just can't see them as a couple. I guess most voters were LJK fangirls.. ;)

Seo-hyun is so annoying I don't even remember her name most of the time.

Jung-woo's reaction to Seo-hyun? Gives him many, many points.
So true. Jung-woo's such a good friend to Gong-chan and it's really refreshing.

I can't see Yu-rin and Jung-woo working at all really. Temporarily, sure, but not in the long run.

Seo-hyun just doesn't live in anything resembling the real world, really. Everytime she says or does something I just sit there and wonder how her brain even works.

Exactly. YR needs someone very stable, down-to-earth (because of her crazy upbringing and life). I adore JW but he is the worsr match for her.

They both need someone stable and down to earth, really. At first, I was thinking JW would be good with GC's assistant for just that reason(and I really like her and she needs someone who'll help her loosen up), but it looks like it's going with her and YR's friend, which is kinda cute.

I am so glad you are enjoying MG.

Oh God, I have SH. She is my LEAST fave 'other girl' ever.

She's just...ugh...I swear, he takes 2 steps away from her or goes 30 seconds without calling her or *gasp* plans to spend time with a FAMILY MEMBER(I'd get her paranoia about YR a bit if she knew the truth, but as of ep 9, she still doesn't) and she starts whining.

I mean, usually, I can see where the other girl is coming from and so I end up not hating them and often liking them, but this woman is just unhinged with reality.

I mean, when every single person a guy knows literally hates your guts for how you treated him, you should take it as a sign that "I'm sorry, lets get back together" really isn't enough.

And the thing that makes it worse is that Gong-Chan is such a sweet, decent, normal guy, you know? He is someone who would be a good boyfriend, too.

UGH. Her whole 'I thought it would be too hard if I saw him so I ditched at the worst time of his life without saying anything' makes me want to hurt her. Bad.

It's very clear he's staying with her because he thinks he owes it to both of them to try again, but it's also obvious that he never would have gone that far with it if he hadn't felt sorry for her.

What gets to me is that she thinks they were upset with her BECAUSE she left and so she thinks she was justified, but it's not that at all...it's HOW she left...if she'd talked to him and gone "I know it's a hard time for you and you need support, but this is a big opportunity for me an could make my career blah blah blah" then yeah, people would still be upset she left but they'd be a lot more accepting and forgiving because it was a decision they made together and she let him know. Instead she just left without a word and let him find out what was going on via the news, and she just doesn't get how wrong of her that was.
