Moving cleanout

Aug 18, 2019 17:48

I will be moving in November* (largely out of necessity-doctor told me to move to a downstair apartment a few years ago for my knee, but finances don't really care about doctor's orders, but also because I really can't take this apartment anymore) which means that 13 1/2 years of accumulated STUFF has to be sorted through and partly gotten rid of, including even more books and DVDs than I realized.  (I can track my financial situation and phases for the last decade and a half so easily through this...and so awkwardly.)

I've put some of the books and DVDs that will be going (if you see something you can' believe I'm parting with, please know that not only have some duplicates been unearthed, but many books have also been bought in ebook sales over time) in this spreadsheet.  I'll be adding more over the next few weeks-and haven't even touched my comics and manga yet- but I figured two large boxes full of things is a good starting point.

I'm largely looking to rehome with the probability of their being watched/read, rather than risking languishing in the back room or getting tossed by Goodwill or Christians in Action** so only actually asking shipping cost plus time & gas to get them there (both local post office branches are about 15 minutes from me, whether from work or from home), which should be about $3.75 for small paperbacks and single DVDs, and $4.50 for hardbacks/large paperbacks and DVD sets, and 75 cents for each additional item.  For continental US at least.  Anything over that is very welcome (Moving is expensive!) but not required.  If you see something you want, DM me on Tumblr, Dreamwidth or Twitter, or leave a comment on the last page of the spreadsheet.

*Hopefully getting a house, if financing for the downpayment works out, as house payments are actually less than renting an apartment here in many cases, even after property taxes...

**Why no, there's aren't non-giant-Conservative-Christian-Capitalist-megachain thrift stores  in this part of hyper conservative midwest Texas, at least that I'm aware of.
