So, just so we're clear: The guy who is complicit in war crimes, plans terrorist attacks in his spare time (but it's ok, because he doesn't plan to actually use them!), and pretends to be gay to help get himself into the FBI as the first openly gay agent (and uses his fake sexuality as an excuse to barge into women's bedrooms) is currently an innocent dupe who is just misunderstood. OTOH, the ACTUAL gay man who confronted the fake gay man about literally stealing the struggles of thousands of people to further his career is a weakling and criminal who aided terrorists and framed his friends for terrorism so that he wouldn't go to jail.
Got it.
At least the flashback parts were great, romantic shenanigans aside.
