I don't normally post about food or drinks, but I feel compelled to post the fact that OceanSpray's new PACT fruity water is the grossest.

I mean, maybe not literally, but the grossest I've had in a while.

Part of the grossness for me is that it has a lot of stevia in it.  I avoid stevia because (A) I think it tastes bad and has an awful aftertaste, and (B) I often get headaches when I consume something with it.  Seriously, I drank about 1/5 of a 16 oz bottle and felt just fine before, but had a low level migraine about 20 minutes later.  And, I mean, it's possible something else caused it, but it's happened with stevia before, only I've needed to drink more of it.  (And it's been long enough since I had something with enough stevia for me to notice that I didn't recognize the taste at first, and had a few more swallows to see if I just needed to get used to it before deciding that nope, I really just thought it was gross.)

But even if you don't have my dislike for stevia, I think the stevia would still make it bad for most?  The stevia completely overpowers that fruit taste, and the "water" is more like diluted juice with way, way too much sweetener, not, you know, flavored water.

I bought 4 (one of each flavor) and took the other 3 back to the store today.  This post is mostly brought to you by the fact that I restrained my to "it has too much stevia for me" when the customer service person asked if there was something wrong with it.

Also, all the grocery stores here are really, really caught up in "hatch chile everything" right now.  Which is fine and all, but I'm too wimpy for that they're putting out less of the stuff I'd want to make room for the hatch chile products.
