HTGAWM:
- About the detective: That's the one plot detail that I can't wrap my mind around. Is he involved in the murder too?
- About bisexuality: Yeah, I'm sad that the show seems to take place in that usual parallel universe where bisexuality doesn't exist. I for one am not saying that Aiden is bisexual, he can be straight and have experimented, that's perfectly reasonable, but bisexuality should at least have been mentioned in the conversation between Aiden and Michaela.
- About Michaela's reaction: I didn't see anything wrong with it. (Apart from the inexistence of bisexuality mentioned above.)
- About Connor's attitude: This headcanon is interesting. In the first 2 episodes, Connor was a bit of an ass, in a charming way, but in episode 3, he was more of a jerk, in a mean way. I was surprised by it, but I considered that 2 episodes was a bit light to say that he was OOC in episode 3. But I rewatched his scene with Aiden and indeed his smile abruptly drops when Aiden says: "We were in boarding school together." If that is why he lashes out during the rest of the episode, congrats on the subtle acting (a little too subtle, maybe, because I doubt many people made the link, but still).

-I wonder if the detective found out the the husband was up to something else entirely, and maybe thought it would hurt Annelise more than covering for him would? That, or someone got to him before he met with Annelise and threatened his wife (unlike Annelise, he actually does seem to be fond of his spouse.) He doesn't seem to be a terrible person (outside of cheating on a wife with cancer...) or someone who would deliberately endanger another person, regardless of ho angry he may be with them.

-I'm having a kneejerk reaction to "Experimenting but straight!" just because of how the show used it to dismiss bisexuality, but I do agree.

-A lot of people on tumblr were hating on Michaela and calling her homophobic, but I didn't read anything she actually said as homophobic? She was primarily reacting to keeping secrets and what she saw as lying to her, after being taunted and goaded by days with someone she already had a fierce (but until then, apparently fairly friendly when they weren't outright competing) competition with and her mind was coming to what would be the worst conclusions she could in terms of marriage and her political career. But her comments were very centered around the fact that he hadn't told her.

-I agree about Connor. He's a jerk, but not a mean one. He makes mean comments/observations when people annoy him (which is frequent) but doesn't normally go out of his way to find ways to hurt people, which he was doing with Michaela. I agree that it was Aiden's rejection of their past (and I'm sure Connor has had plenty of rejection over the years) that was responsible for the change.

- The "gay for you" trope already loses points in a context that doesn't acknowledge bisexuality. And here, it's actually "not gay for you, just experimenting," which is even more dismissive.

- I really don't remember Michaela saying anything homophobic. She was hurt that he had lied to her, and if he was secretly gay, she didn't want them to get married, but she even said explicitly that she would remain friends with him if that was the case. She was quite supportive considering the situation.
