manga: Skip-Beat Vol 20-27

There are a few more volumes out in the US, but I ran out of what I had on hand.

I'm about a volume and a half into the the "Ren and Kyoko live as possibly incestuous gangster goth siblings" and OH MY GAWD. GANGSTER GOTH SIBLINGS. WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OBSESSED WITH EACH OTHER. AND KYOKO IS SHIPPING THEM. AND FORCED ROOM SHARING. THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN FAKE DATING. DOES THIS COUNT AS FAKECEST?

It's like Nakamura reached deep down into her soul and grabbed all the OTT fanservice she could find and flipped it around some.

Granted, I'm not entirely certain Ren is going to survive this experience. (But then, that might be Lory's goal.)

I was neutral on the birthday/Christmas party until Moko and Ren were silently and accidentally warring over who gave Kyoko the best gift. (Moko always wins, because this series firmly believes in Ovaries Before Brovaries.)

The Valentines arc was...hmm. I liked it, except that Reino was back, and I haaaaatttteeee Reino. Like, I'm not exactly a fan of Sho, either, but at least I'm entertained when he pops up and he isn't a creepy crawly stalker. But I loved everything else about it. (Ok, not Sho's inappropriateness, but it did have entertaining results.)

I think I like Kyoko finding/becoming Natsu more than Kyoko finding/becoming Mio, even though the Mio arc had more character development. But the Natsu arc has rivals girlcrushing on her in droves and in denial about it, SO. This is me totally not surprised that Chiori has drunk the Kyoko Love juice. (Even if she might be faking. But I await the day she and Moko fight over Kyoko. Even if she might not survive the experience.)

But mostly OH MY GAWD NAKAMURA, WHERE DID YOU GET THIS HEEL SIBLINGS PLOT? (And can you infect other shoujo with your brain?)
Side note: Kyoko is playing a character named Natsu. A major character in 7 Seeds is named Natsu, and she is as far from both Kyoko and the character she's playing as possible. This was a tad confusing.
