Little Girl Detective is a 4-episode drama special about Park Hae Sol, and ill-tempered, socially-maladjusted 19-year-old genius and mathematician (though this, sadly, isn't touched on much before the last episode) who can see people's moods as colored auras around them. She pretty much accidentally falls into being an amateur detective and sticks with it because (A) she likes it, and (B) one of the first crimes she encounters involves a man who is connected to her father's death, which may not be the accident it was reported as. Her sidekick is Choi Tae Pyung, a rather hapless (and very young, because while the drama wants to reassure us that it is most definitely NOT a romance drama, at various time it also doesn't want us to have any confusion as far as whether or not it wants us to ship them) rookie cop who she pretty much literally drags around with her at first.
Despite her super-power, Hae Sol's crimesolving largely relies on investigating and deductive reasoning, with the mood seeing only sometimes used as a form of clue gathering that helps her read people's reactions. She actually dislikes the power and usually walks around with (giant, hot pink, heart-shaped) sunglasses on so that she won't see the auras.
The series was apparently classified as a comedy, but while there are certainly plenty of funny moments, I'd classify it more as a drama. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, my only complaint being that, aside from Hae Sol, the drama is pretty male centric, with almost all the supporting characters being male and the 2 supporting female characters, while interesting and entertaining, have significantly less screentime than the other characters.
As a fair warning, while much of the plot is wrapped up, it's very much set up for a second season, and I have no idea whether or not one will be made. (Has been made, but not available anywhere that I know of?)
