cmovie: Dragon Chronicles: The Maidens of Heavenly Mountain

There seem to be multiple versions of the title for this 1994 film, but this one seems to be the most common.

Dragon Chronicles is based on part of Jin Jong's Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. It's almost ridiculously condensed and has infodumps that rely on the viewer having a general idea of what's going on already. As I have not yet watched a version

Sounds like the filmmakers went, "Hey, you know how DGSD have all these potentially awesome women that Jin Yong doesn't develop? Let's take the concept and run away with it."
(Actors in my icon are from the 2003 DGSD TV series. I'd recommend the 1997 version - better written, but with noticeably far less eyecandy)

Yeah, I think the 2003 version is the one I have DLed somewhere. It's hard to find the pre-2000s ones online, and even fewer have been released in the US.

And yeah, I think that's basically what the filmmakers did.
