Not only do I fear the probably season 3 romanticising of Damon, but of Klaus as well.
Then there's also the trashing of Elena in order that she can lower her standards and have feelings for Damon.
If I watch next year it will be entirely for Caroline, Tyler, Katherine, Bonnie, Jeremy & his ghosts.
Let me just mention also, regarding the finale, suddenly finding a resurrection spell to save Jeremy - when an episode before they suddenly found a different resurrection spell that saved Elena. Yeesh.
Finally regarding the death of Jenna - she was just killed off because she was the lowest hanging cast member and they wanted to kill off someone in the credits. Dramatically, it wasn't really necessary to kill off every single parental figure for Elena. The other thing I don't like is that it makes the Salvatore Brothers, essentially even more focal to Elena's life. Oh, and now Alaric can be the father figure.
